Power BI support
Fixes, changes and additions to the Power BI reports you already have. A fixed quote before any work starts.
Sound familiar?
- The report didn’t refresh this morning. A changed password, a moved Excel file, a new column in the source, a gateway that stopped.
- The person who built it has left. The report still runs, but nobody knows how, and nobody wants to touch it.
- One more visual has been in the queue for weeks. A filter, a measure, a new page, a new data source. Small for whoever knows the model, stuck for everyone else.
- A page takes a minute to open. People stop using a report that makes them wait.
- The numbers don’t match. Power BI says one thing, the ERP or the finance spreadsheet says another, and the meeting is about which one is right.
- Someone still finishes it in Excel. Every month, the same export and the same manual steps.
Each of these has a specific cause, and most take hours to fix, not weeks.
How it works
- Tell me what’s wrong. Use the form below. A sentence or two is enough. Screenshots help, and you can send them when I reply.
- Get a fixed quote. Within one working day I reply with the likely cause, what I would do, and a fixed price. If I need to see the model first, I’ll say so.
- I fix it. In your tenant, with access you grant and remove. The price stays as quoted.
What it typically involves
| Job | Usually |
|---|---|
| Fix a failed refresh; add a visual, measure or filter | a few hours |
| Take over a report someone left behind, and document it | one to two days |
| Speed up a slow model; reconcile numbers with the source | one to three days |
| Replace a manual Excel step with an automated one | depends on the sources |
Your data stays where it is
I work inside your Microsoft 365 tenant, through a guest account or a user you create and control. Nothing is copied to my machines, and access is removed when the job is done. An NDA and a data processing agreement are available before any access is granted.
If it keeps happening
When fixes and changes come up every month, a retainer is simpler: a fixed number of hours each month and an agreed response time. Small requests come out of that block without a new quote each time, and someone who already knows your model is one message away.
Bigger than a fix?
If you need a new report rather than a repair, see new dashboards. A recent example is this finance report on Microsoft Fabric, with forecasts and backtested ranges built in.
Who you’d be working with
I’m Aleksei Prishchepo, a freelance BI and analytics specialist based in Berlin. I work in Power BI, SQL and Python, from the data load to the report, in English. I’m registered as a freelancer in Germany and invoice clients across Europe and the UK.
Describe the problem
